I am a physicist that lives in Santa Barbara, California. My day job is as a Principal Systems and Applications Scientist at Senseeker Corporation. I was at FLIR for almost 22 years and have also worked as an independent consultant. I used to do neutrino astrophysics research at the South Pole research station, but decided not to try to become a physics professor after doing a 2 year stint as a Postdoctoral Fellow. I am also an artist and designer – creating visual art with invisible light, designing novel imaging systems and performing as Doctor MegaVolt, a show where I interact with artificial lightning while wearing a protective metal suit and doing fun tricks and stunts.
